suicide prevention doesn’t end with this week. but maybe something can start with it.
if you’re someone who has, or is, struggling with suicide, as someone that has struggled with this, i promise you life is worth it. it does get better. people do love you. there are things worth living for. you can not be replaced. take steps to be open, to be honest. share your struggles and share your story, and invite others to do the same.
if you have not struggled with this, you are blessed. and i encourage you to love those around you with all you have in you and let. them. know. that they are loved. some people need to be believed in before they can believe in themselves. be open. be honest. share your struggles and share your story, and invite others to do the same.
"And the Lord said to Moses, ‘This very thing that you have spoken I will do, for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.’”
the creator of the universe, the same who created details as small as the way your blood pumps through your body, and the way the earth smells after the rain.. created you. me. us. and He is fervently in love with His creation. each cell in your body, each inch of skin, was formed by the hands of the Creator. ”I know you by name.” woven into every little detail.
and it’s a story, not about me, not one about you. but about a God who’s very nature is love, and a story that we are invited to partake in. a story that means a whole lot than just you, or just me. it’s us together. looking for truth and looking for beauty, and wrestling with the things we find along the way.
God loves you.
and if that’s too much right now, don’t shut your ears.
just rest, just know that you are loved far more than you will ever know.
